My Trip to Chicago
Well I'm not home yet. That's happening tomorrow, thank G-d. But here is a quick summery of my trip before mom and I go shopping. The day we arrived we ate dinner and hit the sack at 8pm local time. The next day my dad drove up from Champaign and we went to see some houses in Skokie. Talk about garbage. There were all one level barn types and it was just horrible. The few good things that happened from that trip is that I got to drink some Starbucks, ride in a Lexus jeep, and have a few laughs because my mom mispronounced a street name. Instead of Dempster st, she called it Dumpster St. The cab guy got lost so it was quite icky. The next day my dad left and we went to look at more houses. The temperature--this was sunday--reached an all time high of 110. We went to Buffalo Grove, Northbroke, and Palatine. We found two houses that were amazing. One which we playfully dubbed the White House because of its white interior and large ceilings, was really pretty. We saw 8 houses in all and became roasted chickens in the extreme heat. We spent the rest of the time in our room. BTW our hotel looks like a garage but I guess that's what you get when stay at a 3 star hotel. Yesterday we went to a musuem and to the world's largest aquariam and than we had dinner at Red Lobster, walked around as much as we could and came back and dropped. Today I had a job interview which was ridiculous (more on that later), and are now going shopping.....More when I get home.....see you soon.
